Welcome to Field Training 2009!

OFRD has announced the upcoming field training for commissioned officers this summer.

The field training will:

  • Enhance team cohesion
  • Build resiliency
  • Improve operational readiness
  • Foster cross-cultural expertise

Location:

Fort AP Hill,
Army Training Facility
Bowling Green, Virginia.

All members of the Corps’ Tier 1 and Tier 2 response teams (approximately 1,600 officers) as well as 10% of Tier 3 officers (approximately 400 officers) will be expected to participate in this week long training. To assure the Corps’ ongoing operational readiness, commissioned officers will be trained during months when they are not on call.

We have created an online sign-up process for officers participating in the Field Training 2009.

Before proceeding, PLEASE UPDATE the OFRD website with your most current personal information. All officers attending the field training must adhere to USPHS uniform standards.

Follow all instructions to ensure that you are correctly signed up for the field training.

You will receive a training packet once all your information is processed.

You are expected to attend the field training with your assigned team. To sign up for the field training with your team, proceed to the Team Application Form at the bottom of this page.

NOTE:

Rarely, team leaders may make exceptions to the scheduled training dates.

Officers may request alternative training dates for the following reasons:
1) Pregnancy and maternity leave
2) Medical waivers
3) Medical emergencies
4) Death in the family
5) Weddings
6) Taking children to college
7) Previously scheduled vacations (based on the honors system)
8) Previously scheduled critical training for work

Officers who are unable to attend field training with their assigned team must obtain permission from their team leaders to train during an alternate time. The team leader contact information is below:
